Day 1 - Arrival in SvendborgSvenborg is an old seaside town - located between sea and hills - and home to many fine wooden ships.Day 2- Svendborg and surroundings 35 or 53 kmYou will cross the bridge to the island of Thurø, where you can visit the maritime centre. Here you can take the old ship 'M/S Helge' to Tåsinge, where you will pass quaint half-timbered houses on your way to Valdemar Castle. Cycling along quiet roads, you will pass beautiful nature areas and viewpoints and the cosy port Skovballe.Day 3 - From Svendborg to Ærø 29 kmYou will take the ferry from Svendborg to Ærøskøbing on Ærø. On Ærø, you will imagine yourself in a 19th-century atmosphere, with narrow cobbled streets and half-timbered houses with hollyhocks. You will cycle through fertile countryside, with small farms nestled idyllically among the rolling hills. Everywhere you go there are farm shops where you can buy fruit, vegetables and honey. Ærø has its own brewery and is known for producing ice cream and chocolate. You are never far away from the beach and each of the three main towns has its own charm.Day 4 - From Ærø to Faaborg 36 kmCycle along the Ærø coast to Voderup Klint and Vitsø Mill. You can visit Søbygaard manor house, with its interesting art exhibitions, and enjoy a coffee at a small cycle café just south of Søby. Later in the afternoon, take the ferry from Søby to Faaborg, a picturesque market town.Day 5 - Faaborg and surroundings 28 or 38 kmthe small village of Diernæs, you pass Kaleko Mill, where the popular Danish Christmas show Nissebanden was filmed. Through beautiful forests and past a nice viewpoint, you cycle back to Faaborg.
You can also take a bike ride (16 km) on the picturesque island of Avernakø.Day 6 - From Faaborg to Svendborg 44 kmOn this idyllic route, you cycle from Faaborg through the rolling hills to Åstrup. You then cycle along the coast back to Svendborg. Along the way, there are lovely picnic spots at small marinas and in a beech forest right by the sea.Day 7 - Departure or extension Odense or Copenhagen
